How to Accept a One-to-One Offer

What is a One-to-One Offer?

When a tasker requests you directly, you'll receive a private task that only you and the tasker can see. You can accept it by submitting a bid, or simply not respond if you're not interested.

Step 1: You Receive a Notification

When someone sends you a one-to-one request, you'll receive:

• An email notification with details about the new task request.

• A new message in your Conversations with a link to the task.

• The task will appear in your 'My Tasks' filter on the Browse Tasks page.

Step 2: Review the Task

Click the link from the email or message to view the full task details. You'll see:

• What the tasker needs (title and description).

• Their location and due date.

• Whether they've set a budget or are requesting a quote from you.

Step 3: Submit Your Bid (Quote)

If the tasker left the budget blank, you'll see a prompt: 'Submit your quote (amount and message) so the tasker can accept and pay.'

Scroll down to the Bids section and:

1. Enter your price — the amount you'd charge for the task.

2. Write a message — confirm your availability, mention any preparation needed, and provide any relevant details.

3. Click 'Submit Bid'.

If the tasker already set a budget, you can still submit a bid with your own price and message.

Step 4: Wait for Acceptance and Payment

Once you submit your bid:

1. The tasker reviews your quote.

2. If they accept, the task moves to 'Awaiting Payment' status.

3. You'll receive an email: 'Your bid was selected — awaiting payment confirmation.'

4. Do not start work yet — wait for payment confirmation.

Step 5: Payment Confirmed — Start Work

Once the tasker completes payment:

1. The task moves to 'In Progress' status.

2. You receive a second email: 'Payment confirmed — you can start!'

3. Now you can begin working on the task.

4. The contact information filter is lifted — you and the tasker can now share phone numbers, email, WhatsApp, or any other contact details directly in the conversation. This is useful for coordinating sessions (e.g. therapy or coaching), arranging meetings for larger contracts, or simply communicating in whatever way works best.

Step 6: Track Progress and Complete

• Add progress updates on the task page to keep the tasker informed.

• Upload progress photos if relevant.

• When finished, click 'Mark as Complete'.

• Upload a completion photo if prompted.

Step 7: Get Paid and Reviewed

Once the tasker confirms completion:

1. Payment is released to your PayPal account (minus the platform fee).

2. The tasker can leave a review and rating.

3. Once the tasker has reviewed you, you can review them back.

What If You Don't Want the Task?

You're not obligated to accept. You can simply:

• Not submit a bid — the tasker will see no response.

• Message the tasker through the conversation to explain or negotiate.

• After 48 hours with no activity, the tasker may choose to open the task to all helpers.
